About Goldenberries

The crown jewel of the Incan diet

One of the world's most exotic fruits, these sweet and tangy sun-dried berries are more than just a tasty fruit. Goldenberries are bursting with phosphorous, bioflavonoids, and are rich in Vitamins A, C, B1, B2, B6, and B12. They are also extremely high in protein (7%) for a fruit.

Truly Raw Process

Goldenberries grow on a small shrub, often just one to three feet in height. Its small, cream-colored flowers produce a large, marble-sized yellowish-orange fruit surrounded by a papery yellow husk, like you find on the outside of a tomatillo. To produce this exquisite citrusy snack, the fresh berries are first hand-picked, then washed, inspected and dried under 118F (typically around 110F) to attain optimum moisture levels while preserving flavor, aroma, nutrients and antioxidants. They are free of any chemical pesticides, sulfur or heavy metals since they are inspected again and tested for purity before packaging.

Single Origin

Our single-origin goldenberries come from an amazing farming project in Peru that is transforming the lives of the farmers who grow these exquisite, highest-quality berries.

Paid far beyond fair-trade rates, these farmers are not only being rewarded for exceptional artisinal craftsmanship — they're also investing in sustainable development in their families and community, creating a legacy of independence and pride for the next generation.
